This initiative aims to promote structured sports programmes, build leadership capacity, support evangelism through sports, and develop emerging talents within the Church.

The event is scheduled from July 21 to July 25 at the Sports Complex, RCCG, Mowe, Ogun State.

The target group consists of sports officers and administrators from various states.

This initiative is part of the IOC’s global educational programme, which is supported by Olympic Solidarity and implemented through the NOC.

It provides participants with globally recognised training, based on the IOC’s official manual and curriculum.

The course will be delivered onsite and virtually to allow for broader participation.

It will be led by IOC-certified National course Directors, including Dr (Mrs) Esther Oluwatoyin Aluko, Mr Emmanuel Nweri and Deborah Ijeoma Chidobi, the Project Officer.

An esteemed lineup of speakers will join them. These are:

• Prof. Fasan Clement – Programme Director, IOC Advanced Sports Management Course
• Dr. Akin Amao – Former Chairman/Member, NOC Medical & Scientific Commission
• Prof. Dominic Leah Funmilayo – University of Ilorin
• Prof. Abiodun Morofolu – Lagos State University

Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel, President of the NOC, will officially declare the course open.

In a related development,

The event is scheduled at LASU Advanced Resources and Conference Centre, Lagos State University (LASU), OJO, from July 28 to August 1, 2025.

The session will feature participants’ presentations of case studies on Managing Finance and Marketing, and the delivery of the final topic in the Olympic Solidarity (OS) module: Event Management.

Oyebode Oluseyi, an astute administrator and ASMC alumnus, will discuss the topic during the session.

The module will be conducted in a hybrid format—both onsite and virtual space—to allow for broader participation, especially for those who may not be able to attend physically.

The programme was developed according to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) ‘s ** MEMOS guidelines.

It will be anchored by the two IOC-approved Programme Directors, with support from Chidobi Deborah, the  Project Officer.

The Secretary-General, Tunde Popoola, will declare the session open on behalf of the President, Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel.
