Truly, the experience is all about COVID19 Lockdown and Exercise enjoyment. This is not a period to get dull because of the lock-down. FUTOites never want to settle for less. FUTO graduates will always technologically find ways to keep up. While the children are getting richer by reading, the elders are running exercise programs to stay healthy and beat COVID19.

In the month of April from the 5th, the members of FUTO Alumni Association Lagos Chapter were taken on a journey. It was an exciting journey to improve health and muscles. Most importantly to burn abdominal fat. And for some, it is an opportunity for 6 packs. It was a 30-day Schedule of Ab fat burning program led by the CEO of Calyfit; Calistus Iwuoha.

Exercise

The body really needs physical activities not to lock up the bones and to keep healthy. It is a wellness and confidence activity. It is any activity that enhances or maintains physical fitness and overall health of the body.

The exercising activity is performed for a number of reasons. These include to aid growth and improve strength, preventing aging, developing muscles, and the cardiovascular system. It also includes honing athletic skills, weight loss or maintenance, improving health, and also for enjoyment. Exercise can be done outdoors alone or in a group. It can also be done indoors at home or at a Gym house. Even doing a small amount of exercise is healthier than doing none. The amount of recommended exercise depends upon the goal, the type, and the age of the person

Exercise reduce Stress

Almost any type of exercise will help reduce stress. Muscular mediation is very effective and It is the rhythmic repetitive activity of the muscles of interest. For example, walking and jogging. A 20 mins stroll can effectively clear the mind and reduce stress. Some people still prefer vigorous workouts that burn calories.

How it Works

The oxygen utilization and blood flow improve with consistent rhythmic physical activity. These eventually have a direct effect on the brain and increase the production of endorphins. Endorphins are the “feel-good” neurotransmitters. This is the cause of the feeling of well-being and excitement that is experienced after a workout.

So, It is normal for people to experience a feeling of improvement in their mood immediately after an exercise. Those feelings last longer over time and will increase with a consistent exercise routine. Additional to managing stress levels, regular exercise also promotes optimum health in other ways. The heart health benefits from this too.

Other benefits

Other additional benefits of exercise are:

  • Muscles and bones strengthen
  • Boost Immunity,
  • lower blood pressure
  • boost good cholesterol levels in the blood
  • Improve your blood circulation
  • Ability to control weight
  • Sleeping better at night
  • boost energy
  • improve your self-Confidence

Everyone can enjoy the stress-relieving benefits of exercise even if out of shape or un-athletic. Importantly, regular routine can help people feel less stressed, less anxious, and less depressed. In addition,  it can make people more relaxed, optimistic, and happy. It can also improve overall health, including the health of your heart.
