Nigeria’s Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, has stated that the future of Nigeria’s football stakeholders and administrators in the next few weeks will make or mar the game of football in Nigeria, africafootunited can report.
Dare stated this in his office at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Monday when the NPFL Club owners paid him a courtesy visit. He reiterated the need of stakeholders to put all hands on deck and make football great again.
“Millions of Nigerians are watching the decisions we make and what we do. The next few weeks will determine either the death or rebirth or rejuvenation of Nigerian football”.
“I believe everyone here and those that are not here, football administrators and others will help this game to survive. But we will do what is necessary and, for the sake of football, let all of us do what needs to be done to make Nigeria football great again.”
The Nigeria Football Federation election is scheduled to be held on 30th September 2022 in Benin, the capital city of Edo, where a new board is expected to take over from Amaju Pinnick led board.
