After a dismal game and defeat in the opening World Cup game loosing 2-0 to Croatia, it was essential for the Super Eagles to get back in the calculations for the group. Picking a good result against Iceland, the Super eagles have kept up their hopes of advancing to the knockout stage alive.
Nigeria entered the game against Iceland with desperation to win the match and they produced stunning moments of football quality.
The silence was broken and the streets of Lagos joined the supporters club in Russia in jubilation.
