The Management of FUTO recently announced the Special Convocation for June 4th, 2021. Following this, the Alumni Association of FUTO goes with Dr. Andrew to Convocation. For this event, the whole of the Alumni Chapters is convening at the Event to vote in their member who was elected as the Alumni candidate to the Convocation in the 2019 convention in Enugu.
As provided by Section 16 of the constitution of the Alumni Association of FUTO, the Alumni’s Candidate to the Convocation was elected at the last Alumni Convention. Dr. Andrew Ejayeriese is a distinguished member of the Alumni Association. He was a former Chairman of Lagos chapter and was a one-time National President of the Association.

Dr Andrew
Dr. Andrew Ogaga  Ejayeriese, FNAPE, FNMGS,  AAPG CPG, SEG Life membership,  D.Tech (Honoris Causa) is the General Manager Exploration, Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited (EEPNL) and Mobil Producing Nigeria (MPN); subsidiaries of ExxonMobil Corporation, and a member of its Nigerian Leadership Council. He is a Fellow of the prestigious  Nigerian  Mining and  Geosciences  Society  (NMGS) and  Nigerian Association of  Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE). He is a highly regarded  Geoscientist with a passion for the advancement of Mining and Geosciences education in Nigeria. Andrew has a total of Thirty-Three (33) years’ professional experience in the Oil and Gas Industry (1988-2021) with the last Thirty (30) years in ExxonMobil Upstream Company.
Andrew graduated from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) with a Bachelor of Science Technology; Applied Geophysics in 1987. Shortly afterward, he completed his National Youth Service teaching Mathematics and Further Mathematics at Maryland Comprehensive High School, Lagos. In 1999, he completed an MBA program from Enugu State University of Science & Technology.
Career
He started his career in 1988 working for United Geophysical Nigeria Limited as a field seismologist. Andrew joined Mobil Producing Nigeria (MPN) Unlimited in 1991 as a production geophysicist. In 1999, Andrew was transferred to Mobil in Dallas and in 2000 to ExxonMobil Production in Houston on international cross-posting. He then proceeded to work as a strategic planning advisor. In 2007, he served as Manager of Operations Technical Geoscience – East Area Joint venture and  Deepwater assets respectively.  In May 2012, he became the  General  Manager,  Operations Technical Geoscience, Production. He assumed his current position as the General Manager, Exploration, EEPNL, and MPN, January 19, 2015.
Giveback & Leadership
Andrew has used his position to significantly contribute to the development of Geoscience department of FUTO in particular, and other Nigerian Universities. Additionally, he inaugurated the FUTO Geosciences Society and became its first President, 1984/85 session. He was FUTO Alumni Lagos Branch Chairman 2005 to 2009, Alumni President
2010 to 2014 and currently serve as Industry Advisory Board (IAB) member of the  World Bank Africa Centre of Excellence in Future Energies and Electrochemical Systems (ACE-FUELS), FUTO. Countrywide, he was President-Elect of the Nigerian Association of Petroleum  Explorationist (NAPE) in November of 2016 and became its President in 2017.
