Members of Naze All Stars on Wednesday paid a condolence visit to the family of late former Super Eagles midfielder, Henry Nwosu, in his ancestral home in Umuorie, Naze, Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State.
The visit followed a novelty match held in his honour on Sunday, April 5, as part of activities lined up by Naze All Stars to celebrate the life and legacy of the Nigerian football icon.
The commemorative match, played at the Naze Secondary School pitch, ended in a 1–1 draw between Naze All Stars and a team of Imo football legends. Barrister Ndubuisi Kamalu gave Naze All Stars an early lead, while the Imo side restored parity in the second half through a penalty.

According to her, the late Nwosu was known for his love for people and his peaceful disposition, which endeared him to many and kept him from conflicts with anyone throughout his lifetime.
“He lived well with others and had no issues with anyone. We believe he will rest in peace,” a pathetic Juliana said.
The Naze All Stars delegation included Ejike Urewuji, Uchenna Maduagwu, Obinna Ahumibe, Prof. Joe Ken Nzerem, Irobi Mbo, Uche Nzeagwu, China Ihezuo, Obinna Ejiogu, among others, who described the visit as a solemn but honourable duty.

They noted that the tribute match and condolence visit were part of collective efforts to recognise the immense contributions of the late midfielder to Nigerian football and his community.
Meanwhile, arrangements for the burial of the former Super Eagles star are ongoing. Stakeholders, including the immediate family and the Imo State Football Association, are in consultation to agree on a suitable date that will accommodate all planned activities
