FUTO Alumni Association Congratulates Prof Ndinechi and Other Profs as they join the Governing Council.

The FUTO Alumni Association congratulates Professor Michael Ndinechi, Prof. C. A. Madu, Prof. Mrs. J. C. Orji and Prof. A. N. Amadi. Also, the FUTO Alumni Association (FAA) takes this opportunity to tell all FUTO graduates know that the Alumni Association of FUTO is presenting a rep to Convocation who will join the 12th Council.

As the process of selection and onboarding continues, FUTO Alumni Association Congratulates Professor Ndinechi and Other Professors as they join the Governing Council. Professor Ndinechi who is an expert in communication technology will be joining the 12th governing council of FUTO. He will be representing the University Senate as one of the four representatives.

Prof Ndinechi and 3 other Senate members were chosen on the 10th of June 2021 after a keenly contested election in the Senate among 15 contestants.

The other members of the Senate that emerged from the election of the Senate Representative are

  • Prof. Mrs. Chinyere Ada Osuji Madu
  • Prof. Mrs. J. C. Orji
  • Prof. A. N. Amadi

The Reps

Prof. C. A. Madu is a professor of Physics, and the immediate past Head of Department (HOD) of Physics.

Prof. Mrs. J. C. Orji is a professor of Microbiology, and the present Admissions Officer of the University.

Prof. A. N. Amadi is a professor of Public Health, and the current Dean of School of Basic Medical Sciences (SBMS).

Prof Ndinechi

Engr. Prof. M. C. Ndinechi is a professor of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, and the current Dean of School of Electrical Systems Engineering Technology (SESET). He is also the Director of Information & Communications Technology (ICT) Centre. According to the information on the website page of SEET,  he was the Director/CEO of the Electronics Development Institute, ELDI, Awka, Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, Nigeria from 2010 to 2014. He obtained his PhD degree in 2008 and specialized in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Communications Engineering).

Prof is a distinguished member of COREN, NSE, IEEE, and NIM. He is a multiple award recipient including but not limited to World bank/NUC research fellow, Africa Educational Trust London, and Certificate of Honour for Accountability and Transparency. His research interest is on Algorithms for Energy Conservation in Digital Systems, Modeling, and Simulation of Wireless Sensor Networks using IoT. His hobby is to give Skill acquisition for young people.

He is a member of the Order of Knights of St Mulumba, Nigeria and is married with four children.

The FUTO Alumni Association congratulates Professor Michael Ndinechi, Prof. C. A. Madu, Prof. Mrs. J. C. Orji and Prof. A. N. Amadi.

The FUTO Alumni Association will be presenting her official representative, Dr. Andrew Ejayeriese, to the Convocation to vie for the position of Convocation Representative to the Governing Council. Dr. Andrew Ejayeriese was elected at the last Convention of the Alumni Association at Enugu in 2019. Since the Adoption of the Alumni Constitutions on October 13th, 2018 in Owerri, the convention is the only entity that can elect any member of the Alumni who will represent the Association. We hope that our candidate emerges after the election at the Special Convocation.
