The Alumni Association of FUTO works with the University to put an end to the stress of getting a transcript from the University. This was contained in the speech of the President of the Association during a meeting of the Alumni NEC with the University Management led by the Vice-Chancellor.
The President, Engr Prof Laz Uzoechi, said that the Alumni will work with the University for growth. He specifically mentions the full digitization of the transcript system. Prof Laz also mentioned that a grant of N10,000,000 had been given by Sir Chibuike Achigbu after discussions and appeals. When contacted by a team of the Myalumni magazine, Prof Laz for confirmation that the university is increasing resources. These resources will speed up the data entry and capture so that the transcript process can go live very quickly. All data will undergo the appropriate quality control processes before uploading to the software application being built for the process. After the data upload, the data will be rechecked. Also, the application will be tested for stability before it is open to graduates of FUTO.
Prof Laz added that this new NEC elected in August 2022 at the Warri convention, will hit the road to create partnerships and reposition the Alumni for greater exploits. The speech of the President also contained commitments of the recently elected National Executive Council of the Alumni. The Commitment is to lead the association around five visions. These visions are bonding, funding, growth, support, and Visibility.
