While delivering his speech to mark the event, Nwosu appreciated the effort of the National Organizing Social Secretary, Indaphino, and her assistant for their brilliant initiative in devising significant programmes to mark this year’s Valentine’s Day celebration.

He stated that the idea of supporting some members through the empowerment programme is part of his administration’s promise to members of the association in their various endeavours so that they won’t be discouraged in this turbulent time.

“It does not matter how small the token will be” Nwosu stated. “The idea is to let our members know that we care for them at the national level and to show the joy and love that today’s celebration comes with”.

“We have decided that one member from each chapter will get the empowerment support programme today and we believe that it will go a long way in keeping their hopes alive about the association and what we stand for”.

He further revealed that the National Organizing Secretary, Indaphino on behalf of NEC who is billed for delivering her campaign promises had approached some Super Stars, about the initiative and they keyed into the programme by raising funds to support their fellow Stars. The full details of the beneficiaries will be disclosed tonight on all the Alumni’s platforms Nwosu assured.

Before the Valentine’s Day broadcast made by the President, the National Executive Council through the office of the National Organizing Secretary headed by Indaphino (Nwanyibeke) had initiated the “Valentine Gift Share Programme” which involved members accepting to sharing gifts across the globe without having an initial idea of whom could be the beneficiary.

Our source can confirm that 94 members indicated interest in the event as at Press time and the sharing of gifts, cash and other items had gone haywire with several Imo Stars expressing their appreciation for the initiative after receiving their Valentine’s Gift.

Meanwhile, the President also reminded all Stars that the love which is shared today has to be sustained, it has to do with calling members whom you have not heard from in a while and also our separated members and with the strong belief that IMSU Alumni shall have a course to celebrate her best convention this year when all roads will lead to Imo State for the 2025 Convention.
