Nigerians deciding not to vote this weekend because they believe the elections will be rigged are part of the larger problem of our society. These lots when giving an opportunity to lead will feel entitled in their exalted positions and will surely do worse than those they claim are bad Leaders.
Once you are 18, you are responsible for your life decisions and indecisions – you are now a part of the larger society where the political leader in power affects you directly or indirectly.

It is totally irresponsible for a matured man or woman to intentionally decide they won’t vote because there is a predetermined outcome. Truly, you are no better than those who gets 5k to vote for the highest bidder. If you have that dangerous mindset, I will run away from you for life because it shows how immatured you are.
For those abroad, I would also encourage that you come back home to vote even if it’s just for the weekend, if you love your nation so much, sacrifice your comfort, and be part of the process. Don’t just make noise on social media because it is useless if you are not on the ground to vote. People in the US and other western nations travel back to their countries just to be a part of the voting process..
Why they don’t vote
The Guardian of UK reported an opinion. They said that it is likely that the largest contributing factor to the extremely low turnout was the feeling of mistrust. The people feel that whoever won nothing would change. In addition, the deep thought is that the system is so corrupt that it makes no difference whoever becomes is president.
But we must not loos faith. Let us go out to vote. it is the rights to change things
