The Public Relations Officer of the Owerri Metropolitan Council of the Knights of St. Mulumba (KSM), Worthy Sir Odinakachi Uzoamaka Anyanwu, was among the 127 members of the Order elevated to the prestigious 4th Degree on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the Maria Assumpta Cathedral, Owerri.

The investiture, conducted with solemn grandeur, marked the highest rank within the Knight of St. Mulumba, open only to members who have fulfilled all statutory requirements. Sir Odinakachi, who joined the Order in 2009, reached this milestone alongside his wife, Lady Lucia Chinyere Anyanwu, who was also promoted to the 4th Degree.
The Knights of St. Mulumba, founded in Nigeria in 1953 and globally recognized for promoting Marian order and strengthening the family unit, has been a central part of Sir Odinakachi’s faith journey. An ardent Catholic and self-employed media services engineer from Umuuke Lowa, Okata-Uzoma in Ihitte/Uboma LGA of Imo State, he has served the Church in various capacities both within the Order and in other parish organizations.

Within the KSM, he has held several leadership positions, including 2nd Assistant Warden in Assumpta Sub-Council, Worthy Warden of Aladinma Sub-Council, and Metro PRO since 2023. His service extends beyond the Order, having led and coordinated groups such as the Block Rosary Crusade, Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Nigeria (CCRN), Catholic Men’s Organization (CMO), Altar Boys Association, and Lay Readers. He has also been appointed a patron of the Holy Cross Catholic Parish Choir in Aladinma.
Notably, Sir Odinakachi is believed to be the youngest member of the Owerri Metropolitan Council to attain the 4th Degree, a feat likely inspired by his deep family roots in the Order—his parents, Worthy Sir and Lady B. C. Anyanwu, as well as his elder brother and wife, Bro. and Sr. Ugochukwu Anyanwu, are all members. Blessed with five children—three boys and two girls—he credits his family for their encouragement in his knighthood journey.
In a brief reflection on the honor, Sir Odinakachi who expressed his gratitude to one or two who have inspired him in his journey towards attaining the highest degree of the Order has this to say:
“My thanks and appreciation go to my Worthy Metro Grand Knight, Sir Eva Njemanze, who has been a source of inspiration and motivation. I must also acknowledge the Worthy Supreme Knight, Sir Engr. Dr. Charles Mbelede, for approving my journey to the 4th Degree, and all my colleagues in the Metro who have accepted me as I am over the years of our service.
