FIC Report (Imo State) – Thirty students of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), have secured automatic employment opportunities with the Dangote Group upon graduation following an educational tour of the Dangote Refinery and Fertilizer Plant in Lagos.
According to a statement issued by Chika Anurunwa from the FIC report, it stated that the Vice-Chancellor of FUTO, Professor Nnenna Oti, disclosed the development, stating that the President and Chief Executive of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, approved the employment offer after interacting with the students during the visit.
According to the Vice-Chancellor, the students participated in a guided tour of the world-class refinery and fertilizer complex from June 14 to 16, 2026, where they were exposed to advanced industrial operations, technological innovation and the practical application of science and engineering in large-scale manufacturing.

Professor Oti described the offer as a major milestone for the beneficiaries and a testament to the value of industry-academia collaboration in preparing students for the demands of the modern workplace.
