Great FUTOites,
Good day.
When he called to tell us this, I was not just excited but I said to myself, Yes! this is well deserved. The news was shared with my team of boisterous officers of the FUTO Alumni Association Lagos chapter. We were not in a hurry to announce this news but we have to officially shout it now.
The exciting news is that our own dear Mr Andrew Ejayeriese will soon be addressed as Dr Andrew Ejayeriese. He will be awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree by the prestigious Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) Imo State. This will be at the coming Convocation on the 10th of March 2018.
The FUTO Alumni Lagos Chapter will storm the event to show how much we love and support him for all his years of support to the Chapter and the NEC.

Mr Andrew Ejayeriese is an icon of the Alumni Association. He is an elder and a mentor to many. He is a self-motivated individual and has a passion for developing and mentoring the younger generation. He communicates effectively across generations and leads through exemplary behaviors and attitude. Even with the scarce resources of time, he still finds time to serve his community Baptist Church as a Sunday school teacher where he teaches Christian principles across various age groups.
Mr. Andrew Ejayeriese, AAPG CPG, FNAPE, FNMGS is the General Manager Exploration, Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited (EEPNL) and Mobil Producing Nigeria (MPN) (subsidiaries of ExxonMobil Corporation). He is presently in the Management and Leadership of Nigeria’s Geoscience workforce in ExxonMobil Upstream Nigeria.

Notable among his efforts include the sponsorship of the Universities Partnering Programme (UPP) and the Universities Assistance Programme (UAP) by Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited (a subsidiary of ExxonMobil). These programmes have had the combined impact of enhancing Geoscience skills and equipping Goescience workrooms in 17 Nigerian universities, in addition to training over 50 lecturers.
I need not miss that Andrew is the current President of the prestigious Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE), a Fellow of the association, and a Fellow of Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society. He was the Chairman of the FUTO Alumni Lagos Chapter from 2005 to 2009 and became the National President from 2010 to 2014. His leadership trust didn’t begin from here. He was a Primary School Liberian and he was a Secondary school food prefect. In his undergraduate days in FUTO, he inaugurated and became the first President of the Geosciences Society in 1984/85 Session. Similarly, in 1986, He inaugurated and became the first President of the Urhobo National Student Union in FUTO. The list goes on.
We cannot also list all his awards here but we will mention the FUTO’s distinguished Alumnus award in 2002, the Barbara McBride Finalist in the ExxonMobil global leadership Award in 2008 & 2015 and Fellowship Award from NAPE and NMGS.
Mr Andrew graduated from FUTO in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science (Second Class Upper Division) in Applied Geophysics and had his Master of Business Administration (Upper Credit) from Enugu State University of Science and Technology.
