As the Special convocation of the FUTO nears, the candidate of the Alumni Association of FUTO receives a boost. The Board of Trustees Charges the NEC on Dr. Andrew’s Candidacy for FUTO Governing Council Seat.

BOT Endorsement letter to NEC

Endorsement to Council

The Alumni had a Convention in 2019 to elect new officers and BOT. The present BOT and the present National Executive Council of the Alumni Association of FUTO were elected at the Convention. The Convention elected Dr. Andrew Ejayeriese to represent the Alumni Association of FUTO at that 2019 Convention. Since that election of an alumni representative to the convocation, the University has not called for any special convocation. So, as the University management called for the special convocation, the BOT issued a letter to the President of the NEC. They communicated that the BOT “unanimously endorse Dr. Andrew Ejayeriese”. Members of the BOT signed the letter at a meeting held on 21st May 2021.

BOT mandates

Also, the BOT asked the NEC to “acknowledge and commend” the FUTO management for coming up with this date. Additionally, the BOT mandated the NEC to ensure victory for the Alumni candidate who will be running against the ASUU candidate. The date for the election is June 4th, 2021 at the special Convocation.

The board also expressed confidence that Dr. Andrew is competent and has the right character to provide representation for ASUU and the Alumni in the University Council. They encouraged the NEC to mobilize to go for the event so that victory is assured.
